"Students should not only understand theoretical knowledge from books but also grasp the development scenarios across the 9.6 million square kilometers of land." "Achieving the university’s development goals is the shared aspiration of all faculty and students. Please focus your actions on the present and leave the answers to time."... Under the theme "Staying United with the Party and Striving for the Country, Writing a Youthful Chapter Worthy of the Times," Zhang Guoyun delivered the "First Class of the New Semester" to the new students from four perspectives: having light in their eyes to clearly see the "major national priorities" of the great rejuvenation; having fire in their hearts to understand the "spiritual code" embedded in the landscapes of Hunan; having love in their hearts to remember the "HNIST sentiment" deeply rooted within; and having strength in their hands to steer the "youthful direction" of taking responsibility.
