Spring Supply-Demand Meeting for 2025 Graduates in Northern Hunan Region Held at the University
216 Employers Offer 9,106 Positions; 558 Job Intentions Reached Onsite

Campus News On April 11, the Spring Supply-Demand Meeting for 2025 Graduates in the Northern Hunan Region was held at the university. Participating employers represented various sectors including manufacturing, education, information transmission, software and information technology services, and construction. Companies were from multiple regions such as the Pearl River Delta, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area, and Yueyang City. Statistics from the event showed 216 employers offering 9,106 positions, attracting 3,114 students who submitted 2,352 resumes, with 558 individuals reaching preliminary employment intentions.
Zhang Guoyun, Secretary of the University Party Committee, along with other university leaders including Xie Guihui, Xu Xiaoli, Xu Zhenxiang, Ding Yuejiao, and Liu Changhui, visited the recruitment booths to learn about job demands, engage with students on their career plans, and offer guidance.
The event was vibrant with a continuous flow of graduating students seeking opportunities. They moved among the exhibition booths, actively inquiring and submitting resumes. Yao Yilian, a student from the School of Chemical Engineering, said, “After communicating with companies, I have decided to continue pursuing opportunities aligned with my major.” A representative from Changsha Pulian Network Technology Co., Ltd. noted, “Graduates need strong professional skills relevant to their fields. We encourage students to participate in more social practice activities and internship programs to enhance their capabilities and broaden their perspectives. We wish all students success in securing their desired positions.”
To better assist job seekers, an employment guidance service area was set up onsite, providing services such as resume optimization, interview skills training, and free resume printing. Professionals also offered one-on-one tailored employment support to help candidates advance steadily in their career pursuits. According to the university’s Admissions, Employment and Innovation Entrepreneurship Guidance Office, in addition to large-scale job fairs, the university will organize more small, focused, and specialized recruitment events categorized by college or major to provide precise supply-demand matching and improve graduate employment outcomes.
The event was guided by the Education Department of Hunan Province and the Hunan Provincial Student Information and Employment Guidance Center for Secondary and Higher Education Institutions. It was hosted by Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, the Yueyang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Hunan Provincial Regular Regional and Industry-specific Job Market for College Graduates (Yueyang Division).
