Campus News From October 21 to 23, President Zeng Xiangjun led a university delegation to attend the China-Germany University of Applied Sciences Presidents Forum at Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany. The forum aimed to deepen dialogue and cooperation between China and Germany in the field of applied higher education, jointly address global challenges, and explore new pathways for educational development in the intelligent era.
Sun Mingchun, Director of the Center for School Planning and Construction Development under the Ministry of Education, proposed three prospects for deepening China-Germany cooperation: first, to deepen exchange mechanisms; second, to enrich the content of cooperation by focusing on the industrial strengths of both countries; and third, to jointly build curriculum, research, and faculty sharing platforms through digital means, thereby creating an open, inclusive, and jointly developed future.
On behalf of the Chinese side, Zeng Xiangjun delivered a report titled "Joining Hands for Mutual Progress, Creating the Future Together: A New Chapter in Cooperation between Chinese and German Universities of Applied Sciences." He systematically analyzed the complementary advantages of China-Germany cooperation and proposed specific collaborative visions, including jointly establishing colleges, enhancing faculty development, and building industry-university-research platforms.
The forum was chaired byManuela Krawagna, Head of the Asia Office at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Representatives from over 20 universities and educational institutions from both China and Germany participated in the event.
During the visit to Germany, the university signed a cooperation agreement with Deggendorf Institute of Technology, marking a new stage in our university's cooperation with Germany.
