The year 2024 will undoubtedly be etched in the annals of HNIST's history with bold and heavy strokes: the creation of a high-level university has been progressing rapidly and steadily, and the transformation of Nanhua College has achieved key progress; the educational philosophy has become clearer, with the idea of building academic disciplines and majors on industrial chains taking deep root, leading to the establishment of the School of Energy and Electrical Engineering and the addition of three master's programs; ties with localities and enterprises have grown closer, with the special action plan for serving and supporting the high-quality development of Yueyang freshly launched; the integration of industry and education has been fully deepened, the new round of review and evaluation has been orderly carried out, and three normal education programs have passed the certification; the "Year of Connotative Construction" has been actively promoted, and the grand discussion on educational philosophy has gathered consensus for development; the construction of the faculty has been continuously strengthened, with 39 high-level talents introduced; the ability to "accomplish great things" and "promote great achievements" has been demonstrated, with the First National Youth Games for Football, Basketball and Volleyball of the People’s Republic of China shining brightly; the canvas of ideological and political education has been newly unfolded, the campus political ecology has been continuously improving, internal governance has been increasingly perfected, the results of "alumni returning to Hunan" have been fruitful, and livelihood projects have been implemented in the hearts of teachers and students...
