Campus Network News From September 23 to 29, Yu Weiliang, member of Education Working Committee of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and member of Party Leadership Group of Education Department, led the Hunan education delegation to visit some universities in Türkiye and Georgia. Xu Zhenxiang, member of Party Committee and Vice President of our school, Director of International Exchange Office, and relevant leaders of Hunan International Business Vocational College, accompanied the delegation on a visit.

During the visit to Türkiye, the delegation visited Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Türkiye and exchanged views on educational cooperation and exchanges, cultural studies, foreign aid training, etc. between Hunan and Türkiy. During this period, the delegation visited some universities such as Istanbul Kültür University, Atasehir Adıgüzel Vocational School, Marmara University and Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University. Our school has had sufficient exchanges with some universities regarding cooperation on inter school exchanges, teacher-student exchanges, and foreign aid training programs, etc. The delegation also went to the office of CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd. in Türkiye to exchange views on the joint training of talents and localized skills between schools and enterprises.

During the visit to Georgia, the delegation visited Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Georgia and reached a consensus on promoting Hunan and Georgia to jointly support the establishment of a higher education cooperation platform and deepen cooperation in education and economic and trade fields. During the visit, the delegation visited government officials such as Tengiz Iremadze, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Adjara of Georgia,Akaki Dzneladze, Deputy Minister of Education, Sports and Culture of Georgia, and Sopio Gelashvili, Coordinator of Division of International Partnership Programs and Projects Development of the Ministry of Education of Georgia. The visiting delegation also visited the Batumi National Puppetry Troupe, where the two sides exchanged views on the establishment of a cultural and artistic exchange platform and cooperation in cultivating artistic talents among universities in Hunan Province. On the morning of September 26th, our university signed a friendly intercollegiate exchange agreement with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) in Georgia. Merab Khalvashi, President of BSU, warmly welcomed the delegation led by Yu Weiliang. He stated that BSU attaches great importance to its cooperation with Hunan Institute of Science and Technology. BSU has accumulated a lot of international exchange experience with European universities and looks forward to the signing of this contract to start cooperation with Chinese universities. During the visit, the delegation also visited the Georgia branch of Hunan Construction Investment Group and had in-depth exchanges on promoting school enterprise cooperation and cultivating applied talents with international perspectives.

Yu Weiliang said that this visit to Türkiye and Georgia has yielded fruitful results, opening a new chapter for promoting cooperation and exchanges between Hunan, Türkiye and Georgia in the field of education.Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Hunan International Business Vocational College and more Hunan colleges and universities should continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with Türkiye and Georgia in education and other fields, and make contributions to deepening the "Belt and Road" international people-to-people and cultural exchanges and further promoting high-level opening up of higher education.
