Campus Network News On the evening of September 27th, a reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held for foreign experts in various fields at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang attended the reception and, on behalf of the Chinese government and President Xi Jinping, conveyed thanks and regards to foreign experts and China's international friends for their support of China's reform, opening-up and modernization drive. Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended and delivered a speech. Our foreign teacher Ilia was invited to attend the reception.

At the meeting, Ding Xuexiang, on behalf of the Chinese government and President Xi Jinping, conveyed thanks and regards to foreign experts and China's international friends for their support of China's reform, opening-up and modernization drive. China's progress over the past 75 years has been a result of the unremitting efforts of Chinese people of all ethnic groups and the hard work of foreign experts in various fields. Over the past 75 years, groups of foreign experts have made indelible contributions to the construction of China’s socialist modernization, which the Chinese people will always remember.

Yan Weidong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, Peter Brian Ditmanson, Professor of History at Yuelu Academy, Hunan University, Chang Shengchang, an outstanding entrepreneur and British Chinese, and Ilia, a foreign teacher from our university, participated in this event. Ilia expressed his great honor to be invited to participate in this event. He would like to thank China for their recognition of him, the Hunan Provincial Government, and our school for their support and assistance in his work. In the future, he will contribute with even greater enthusiasm to our school and Hunan's international educational undertakings.

Dr. Ilia has been serving as a master's supervisor at the School of Music since 2012, dedicated to piano teaching, vocal art guidance, and choir art guidance at our university. In 2024, he was awarded the Xiaoxiang Friendship Award by the People's Government of Hunan Province.

Our school has always attached great importance to the introduction of foreign experts and fully utilized their important roles in various disciplines. In the future, our school will continue to expand its international resources, attract more high-level professional talents from overseas, strive to build a high-level and long-term stable team of foreign experts, help promote the internationalization of our teaching staff and curriculum construction, and further enhance the school's international influence.
