The design works of Zhang Jialin, Lu Chaofeng and Li Jiangting from School of Mechanical Engineering of our university won the first prize in the "5th Hunan University Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition"

Campus Network News: Recently, the finals of the "5th Hunan University Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition” came to an end in Changsha. The work "Smart Folding Deformation Table Based on ML Algorithm" designed by Zhang Jialin, Lu Chaofeng and Li Jiangting of School of Mechanical Engineering of our university won the first prize in the competition, and Professor Li Si won the "Excellent Instructor Award".

In the process of organizing the competition, the School of Mechanical Engineering attaches great importance to the selection of topics, establishes a special team of instructors, and actively organizes and guides graduate students to participate in the electronic design competition. During the preparation period, under the careful guidance of Prof. Li Si and Prof. Li Hui, Zhang Jialin, Lu Chaofeng, Li Jiangting and other contestants actively collected and sorted out data, scientifically designed experiments, and carefully prepared the competition report. Finally, they finalized the design scheme of intelligent system, mechanical structure, and electrical control based on embedded hardware control, and elaborately developed the competition work “Intelligent Folding Deformation Table Based on ML Algorithm”. During the preparation for the competition, the instructor regularly organizes the contestants to conduct targeted mock defense, highlights the innovation highlights of the works, gets familiar with the competition process, and details the division of responsibilities of the members. In the competition, the contestants of School of Mechanical Engineering were well prepared, defended freely and played steadily, and won unanimous praise from the judges. This competition fully demonstrated the mechanical students' good vocational skills and operation level and solid practical innovation ability, which greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of teachers and students to participate in the competition, and further enhanced the popularity and influence of our school in the field of electronic design innovation. In the future, participating in various scientific and technological competitions has accumulated valuable experience.

It is reported that the "5th Hunan University Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition", sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by Changsha University of Science and Technology, is a high-level, professional and innovative competition in the field of electronic design in Hunan Province. This competition aims to further promote the construction and teaching reform of postgraduate electronic information courses, enhance the ability of postgraduates to apply the basic theory of electronic information in electronic system design, and cultivate high-level professionals who meet the needs of economic and social development in our province. The competition was held for postgraduate students across the province. A total of 13 colleges and universities, 134 teams and 398 students signed up for the competition. The majors of the contestants cover mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, control science and engineering, electronic information, computer science and technology or communication engineering.
