Zhang Zhen, a young teacher who is from the college of Information & Communication, has published a paper named as“Sprites: detection of deletions from low-coverage sequencing data by re-aligning split reads” in Bioinformatics field top international journals-‘Bioinformatics’(Zhen Zhang, Jianxin Wang, Junwei Luo, Xiaojun Ding, Jiancheng Zhong, Jun Wang, Fang-Xiang Wu, and Yi Pan). It provides a better method for human genome deficiency mutation detection.

This paper is a conference paper which was published and special reported by Zhang Zhen in the 26th International Conference on Genome Informatics (GIW) and the 14th International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB) which was held in Tokyo from 9th September 2015 to 11th September 2015, this paper was also awarded ‘The Best paper’ in that conference.
